In collaboration with Caitlin McDonald Events, Hensley Event Resources helped transform the iconic Hayes Mansion for a rehearsal dinner that was as intimate as it was breathtaking. Surrounded by the charm of a 100-year-old estate, the challenge was to design a space that felt both curated and unexpected—something guests would never anticipate.
The rich green walls of the mansion immediately inspired a vision for a tropical yet elegant aesthetic. Our team worked closely with Caitlin to bring this bold idea to life, utilizing Arthur Chairs, paired with the timeless Bistro Chair, Antique with Ivory Cushions, that balanced the room’s classic charm with a fresh, modern twist. The table settings featured the delicate Archer China, Triton Flatware, and Venice Glassware, adding a refined touch to the tablescape.
The real star, though, was the incredible floral work by Friday Flowers Everyday, which captured the tropical vibe envisioned. The florals brought an unexpected burst of color and texture, contrasting beautifully with the room’s historic architecture. This was all tied together with specialty linens and rentals from Hensley Event Resources and BBJ La Tavola, setting the scene for a dining experience that transported guests into an extraordinary setting.
Reflecting on the evening, Caitlin shared, “My favorite thing about designing this intimate rehearsal dinner was being able to truly transport guests to a room so carefully curated, you’d never guess it was inside a 100-year-old mansion.”
This event was a perfect example of how thoughtful design, meticulous attention to detail, and collaboration between talented vendors can create an unforgettable experience that feels both timeless and entirely new.
